The incident occurred on June 20, 2026, at approximately 10:30 p.m. in the area of S. Maple Road near Travis Pointe Road. According to the Pittsfield Township Police Department, a 90-year-old Ann Arbor resident was traveling northbound on S. Maple Road when Frick entered the roadway from the west while attempting to cross eastbound and was struck by the vehicle.
Emergency personnel from the Pittsfield Township Fire Department responded quickly and immediately began lifesaving efforts. Despite their rapid response and attempts to save his life, Frick succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
